Abdeslam Ouaddou has been recognised as the Betway Premiership Coach of the Month for August 2026. The Premier Soccer League revealed the decision on Monday, acknowledging the Orlando Pirates' undefeated beginning to the season.
He led his team to three wins and one draw from their opening four league matches. This performance secured him the monthly award. The league's announcement also named Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya and Brayan Leon as the other first monthly winners for the new season.
While celebrating Pirates' achievement, the award shows the tough competition TS Galaxy encounters. Galaxy hold eighth position with six points from five matches. Their results include one victory, three draws, and one defeat, leaving them behind the early leaders.
AmaZulu FC's Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya received the Player of the Month prize. The Zimbabwean forward netted five times in four games during August. Brayan Leon earned the Goal of the Month award for a volley against AmaZulu.
This is the second occasion Abdeslam Ouaddou has earned this coaching award. His first came in May 2026, showing his capacity to produce outcomes during important periods.
TS Galaxy's season has featured both defensive firmness and attacking shortcomings. The team aims to develop consistency and climb the table in future matches.
