Adnan Beganovic has confirmed his talks to become Golden Arrows coach failed over contract terms, leaving him unattached and linked with a potential return to TS Galaxy. The 43-year-old held several meetings with the club's president, Mato Madlala, before the season but they could not find an agreement.
Beganovic stated the discussions were positive and covered many details. He believed in the project at Golden Arrows, which has Pitso Dladla in charge, and felt the squad had the resources to compete for honours. However, a key sticking point was his desire to bring members of his own technical team, including a role for his technical director. The club ultimately decided to move forward without him.
Other opportunities did not materialise
During the recent FIFA international break, Beganovic also held discussions with Richards Bay about a possible appointment. Those talks, like the ones with Arrows, did not lead to a role being finalised.
Link to TS Galaxy return emerges
This leaves Beganovic assessing his next move while speculation connects him to a comeback at TS Galaxy, where he previously worked under chairman Tim Sukazi. The club's recent form has been poor, losing their last two matches, and they currently sit 12th in the standings with six points from seven games. Their goal difference stands at minus two, having scored seven goals but conceded nine, a defensive record they will be keen to improve as they review their stats.
Despite the failed negotiations, Beganovic spoke highly of Golden Arrows and wished them well. He remains without a club as the domestic season continues, with TS Galaxy seeking stability after a difficult start. The club's top scorer this season is V. Beganovic's future will be decided in the coming weeks as he considers his options, with the club's upcoming fixtures presenting a critical period to turn their season around.
