UEFA has confirmed Beşiktaş Stadium in Istanbul as the host for the 2027 UEFA Conference League final. The match will be played on 2 June 2027, continuing the competition's tradition of awarding major finals to modern, high-capacity venues.
This will be the third major UEFA club final held at the stadium, which opened in 2016 and holds a UEFA Category 4 rating. It previously staged the 2019 UEFA Super Cup, where Liverpool defeated Chelsea on penalties, and the 2026 Europa League final, a 3-0 victory for Aston Villa over Freiburg. The stadium, located on the north side of the Bosphorus waterway, has a capacity of over 40,000 for domestic matches.
Venue and Preparations
City officials are already upgrading roads and train lines around the venue to handle the influx of fans. Modern security systems will monitor all entry points, and teams will receive high-level escorts across the city. Hotel facilities near the waterfront are being prepared to cater to visiting athletes and officials. Stadium staff are beginning training early, and organisers are conducting regular tests of the lighting and media infrastructure to ensure everything runs smoothly.
The 2027 final will be followed by finals in Turin and Budapest. The 2028 edition is scheduled for Juventus Stadium in Italy, with the 2029 final set for the Puskás Aréna in Hungary.
Stéphanie Frappart, who made history by officiating a major UEFA men's final, said the appointment was "the first major UEFA men's final to be refereed by a woman."
For TS Galaxy FC, the focus returns to domestic duties with a trip to face Stellenbosch on 27 November.
