TS Galaxy FC have begun their search for a new head coach and are considering a return for former boss Adnan Beganovic. The club sits 12th in the Premier Soccer League with six points from seven games, prompting a review of the technical team after the international break.

Current head coach Bernard Parker is expected to step down into an assistant coaching position. Chairman Tim Sukazi has emphasised the need for a candidate with elite qualifications, specifically a UEFA Pro Licence, which Beganovic holds. The former Bafana Bafana striker is currently available after departing the club in April to attend to family matters.

The coaching situation

Sukazi stated that Beganovic has unfinished business at TS Galaxy and noted that previous appointments with Pro Licence holders brought positive results. The chairman told Ikwekwezi FM that the club will formally consider candidates with the required credentials. Beganovic oversaw a five-match unbeaten run last season that helped secure the club's top-flight status, and he has maintained a good relationship with Sukazi since leaving.

While Beganovic is not opposed to a return, the club confirms no formal approach has been made. The decision represents a significant shift, with Parker set to take on a different role within the setup. The club's immediate aim is to climb the table from their current position, which sees them 14 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

The urgency is showed by a recent run of two consecutive defeats, including a 1-0 home loss to Chippa United on September 20. The club's full squad list and current standings are also available. A final decision on the coaching position is expected before that match.
